Azerbaijani and Iranian FMs Hold Talks in Tehran
Azerbaijan Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is in Tehran to talk with Iranian counterpart of the bilateral ties and possible furthering of the cooperation. This is the first time after the monumental victory of Azerbaijan in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and retaking of a major part of the occupied lands.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Dec. 10: Iranian Foreign Minister has welcomed the progress made in the direction of the ceasefire and peace agreement, as well as the liberation of the occupied territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mohammad Javad Zarif also explained the principled policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the Caucasus region based on good neighborliness, emphasizing the permanent resolution of the crisis through dialogue and political solution.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov while reiterating his condolences on the martyrdom of Iranian prominent scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and condemning this terrorist act, hailed the Islamic Republic of Iran's principled stance during the crisis and our country's support for lifting the occupation and called Iran's policy towards the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis "balanced".

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries also discussed the development and deepening of bilateral relations, cooperation between the two countries in international forums, the Caspian Sea, and reconstruction projects in the liberated areas, border and security cooperation, ongoing projects, operation of Khodaafarin Dam, Rasht-Astara railway, north-south, and east-west corridors and holding a joint economic commission of the two countries and other issues of interest (Source: IranPress).
