Azeri translation of Nezami’s Haft Peykar unveiled at Baku Int’l Book Fair
The Azeri translation of Hakim Nezami’s poetic masterpiece Haft Peykar (Seven Bodies) was unveiled here on Wednesday in the presence of Azerbaijan Republic deputy prime minister and minsters of culture and education.

Baku, SAEDNEWS: Baku International Book Fair was inaugurated on Wednesday with over 100 Azeri publishers and 12 foreign participants at Baku International Exhibitions Hall.

The Iran Books and Literature Institute in collaboration with the Cultural Attaché of the Iranian Embassy have presented precious works at a 36-meter booth on Iranology, Nezami Ganjavi, the Iranian literary figures, children’s books, and sacred defense.

One of the major programs of the exhibition was unveiling the Azeri translation of Nezami’s Haft Peikar in the presence of Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Musavi, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Head of Ruling Party Ali Ahmadev, Culture Minister Anar Karimov, Education Minister Amin Amrollaheve, Head of Azerbaijan Writers Union Anar Rezaev, and Deputy Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Ahmad Mesbah at the booth of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Iranian Cultural Attaché Ghorban-Ali Purmarjan gave a comprehensive lecture on Nezami Ganjavi and the literary works presented on him in Iran, as well as the numerous published editions of his Haft Peykar (Source: IRNA).
