Darreh Shahr or Capital of Elamites was destructed in the course of history for several times and later it was reconstructed and renovated. Since this place is of paramount importance, it was always the battle ground for man military purposes by Assyrian and Arab expeditions. Some hypotheses suggest that Darreh Shahr in its current state is indeed the site of the ancient city of Madakto the Elamite capital in ancient era.
