Chahar Shir Square dates back to Pahlavi era and is located in Ahwaz. This work is registered as 7040 on 2002 December 31 as one of the national monuments of Iran. Chahar Shir Square is of a spiritual value as a registered national monument. This square due to indication of four directions and symbol of Ahwaz City is of high value for Ahwaz citizens. Moreover, lion is an animal that once lived in Khuzestan Province where the last Iranian lion has been seen. Thus, this square with lion symbol has managed to make its way into the national works monument.
