COVID19 in Iran: Rise in Cases and Death Toll
Statistical figures provided by IRI Health Ministry show that there is a considerable rise in the daily cases and deaths. This gives rise to serious concerns of the possible future unmanageable damages.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Oct. 12: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said in her presser on Monday that so far, 504,281 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 409,121 of the total infected people have recovered.

According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 12, 2020, 4,206 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 2,063 of patients were hospitalized, Lari noted.

She added that in the past 24 hours, 272 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 28,816.4,533 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition.

"So far, 4,340,831 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted.

She pointed out that provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azerbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones.

According to the health ministry spokeswoman, provinces of Kurdistan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan are on alert (Source: IP IranPRESS).
