Dahaneh Ghulaman in Zabul
Sistan is in one sense the cradle of Iran ancient civilization. There are numerous spots in this province that indicate the existence of ancient civilizational activity.

Dahaneh Ghulaman is the name of an archaeological spot in Sistan region at southeast Iran. Dahaneh Ghulaman is the remenant of a city that was once the bureaucratic-political center of Satrap of Zerang in Achaemenes Empire. Dahaneh Ghulaman is located in almost 45 kilometers of Zabol city and two kilometers of Qalah No village. In this site, 27 buildings are identified and the explorations continue up to a high land called Zoroaster’s grave. The true name of this place has been conjectured by Achaemenid epigraphs of Bistun and Naqsh-e Rostam to be “Zarak” or “Zarneka”.
