Hawz-e Sultan Salt Lak is located 40 kilometers north of Qom County and 85 kilometers south of Tehran and at the skirt of Persian Gulf High Way. This lake is also known as Shahi Lake, Saveh Lake and Namak Lake is located on northeastern side of Qom city with an almost 240 square kilometers area and Alborz Chain Mountains are located on its northern part. Howz-e Sultan Salt Lake includes two separate craters called “Howz-e Sultan” and “Howz-e Mareh” which are connected to each other through a channel.
