Imam Khomeini Returns Home from Exile on Jan. 31, 1979

Imam Khomeini led the Islamic Revolution of Iran for several years in his exile time in different countries including Iraq, Turkey and France. Imam Khomeini defeated and toppled the monarchy system in Iran and ousted Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi. He founded the new regime based on Quran and Islamic Sharia Law.
