Iran Advises Western Countries to Take Needed Political Measures for JCPOA Talks
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kana'ani called on France, Germany, Britain and the United States mull to stop issuing statements and exerting fruitless pressure on Tehran and instead take the needed political measures.

Kana'ani made the remarks in reaction to a joint statement issued by the three European parties to the 2015 nuclear agreement – Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) – and the United States.

The Western statement has condemned what is claimed to be an increase by Iran in the production rate of highly enriched uranium of up to 60% purity.

The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman once again reaffirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program.

The Islamic Republic has always reiterated that diplomacy is the best approach towards the removal of unreal concerns pertainig the peaceful Iranian nuclear activities.

Over the past years, Iran has recorded many nuclear achievements in defiance of US sanctions as well as hurdles created by the West.

Iran has been closely cooperating with the IAEA as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

The Islamic Republic showed to the world the peaceful nature of its nuclear program by signing the 2015 nuclear agreement, formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), with world powers.
