President Raeisi made the remarks in the ceremony of Iran’s National Space Technology Day in Tehran on Saturday. Emphasizing that presence in space brings power, hope, and wealth to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Raeisi said that the enemies tried to stop and isolate Iran with sanctions, but the 11 successful launches not only defeated the sanctions but also failed the isolation plan of enemies on the country.
Describing the presence in the space as the icon of “we can do” for the Islamic Republic of Iran, he underlined that one of the manifestations of turning sanctions and threats into opportunities is such actions.
Pointing to the importance of presence in space for the country, Raeisi urged increasing the number of precise launches by continuing the development of the country's space infrastructure.
Following the inaugural of President Ebrahim Raeisi’s administration in August 2021, the design and construction of three satellites were completed and were ready to launch besides 6 others at the end of the Iranian calendar year 1401, and this number would reach 12 by the end of the year.
