Iran Deputy Foreign Minister: Azerbaijan's Territorial Integrity Must Be Part of Solution for Karabagh Conflict
Abbas Aragchi Iran Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Envoy on Karabagh Conflict clearly voiced Iran's stance on Karabagh underlining the vital significance of territorial integrity of Azerbaijan for every solution that is offered for the resolution of Karabagh Conflict.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Nov. 2: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi traveled to Baku, Moscow, Yerevan, and Ankara as the Special Representative of the President to present Tehran's plan for resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. "This visit is part of a periodic visit to those countries in the region that are influential in ending the recent conflicts between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Armenia," Araghchi said in an interview with Baku news network.

The main purpose of the trip is to present Iran’s initiative to resolve this conflict and achieve lasting peace between the two countries, he added. Araghchi said: "In several stages, this plan can bring the situation to a lasting peace and end the existing conflicts and, of course, the occupation of the Republic of Azerbaijan." The special envoy of the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran considered the issue of ending the occupation of the territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan as an important element in the proposed Iranian initiative and added: "Minority rights and human rights are another basis of this plan."

"Halting the conflict and starting talks with the help of influential, helpful, and peace-guaranteeing countries are other elements of this plan," Araghchi said. He added: "In this regard, we will meet and consult with the countries of the region so this plan can reach a point where it can be implemented."
