Iran NCC Spox: 279 Patients Died in One Day
Iran National Coronavirus Committee (NCC) spokeswoman announced on Wednesday that the situation is truly critical and if the people do not take it serious there will be difficult times.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Oct. 15: The Spokeswoman for Iran's Ministry of Health Sima Sadat Lari said in her presser on Wednesday that so far, 513,219 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 414,831 of the total infected people have recovered. According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to October 14, 2020, 4,830 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed, out of whom 2,237 of patients were hospitalized, Lari noted. She added that in the past 24 hours, 279 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 29,349. 4,609 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, said Lari. "So far, 4,398,723 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted," the health ministry spokeswoman noted. She pointed out that the provinces of Tehran, Isfahan, Qom, East Azerbaijan, South Khorasan, Semnan, Qazvin, Lorestan, Ardabil, Khuzestan, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, Gilan, Bushehr, Zanjan, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Alborz, West Azarbaijan, Markazi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Hamadan, and Yazd are regarded as red zones. According to the health ministry spokeswoman, provinces of Kurdistan, Hormozgan, Fars, and Golestan are on alert (Source: IranPress).
