IRGC Commander Underlines Iran’s Full Readiness in Case of Expansion of Gaza War
Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Commander Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh underscored that Tehran is enjoying such military power that no world powers dare to threaten Iran or unleash a war against the country, and further added that Iran’s Armed Forces are at the peak of their might and are prepared for all scenarios.

SAEDNEWS - Addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Monday, Brig. Gen. Hajizadeh stated that the Israeli war on Gaza has been expanded, and “Lebanon is also involved”, and the “extent of conflicts may increase even more”.

“The future is vague, but Iran is ready for all circumstances” in the region, he stressed.

The senior commander also added the Americans do not threaten Iran, citing recent messages they sent to the Tehran which he said used the “language of request”.

Iranian officials have in recent weeks cautioned that the current status in West Asia resembled a powder keg which could spiral out of control. They warned that if diplomatic efforts to stop Israeli onslaught are unsuccessful, there is a risk of the conflict escalating uncontrollably, with multiple regional players joining the fight.

In his first comments on the Gaza crisis in early November, Hezbollah leader Seyed Hassan Nasrallah said that the powerful group has entered the war the day after the Palestinian group Hamas had attack the occupied territory.

“What’s taking place on our front is very important and significant,” Nasrallah added, noting that the conflict on the border with Israel was the hottest it had been since 1948.

“Yet I assure you this will not be the end. This will not be sufficient,” he stressed.

Speaking on Saturday in what were his second comments since the start of the war, Nasrallah stated that there had been “an upgrade” in the group’s operations on its front with Israel.

Hezbollah has already fought off two Israeli wars against Lebanon in 2000 and 2006, forcing a humiliating retreat upon Tel Aviv’s military in both cases. The resistance movement has vowed to resolutely defend Lebanon in case of any Israeli-imposed war.

Elsewhere in his remarks on Monday, Hajizadeh described the Al-Aqsa Storm Military Operation that the Palestinian fighters launched against Israel in early October as a “major strategic victory”, stressing that such an outright triumph can’t be overshadowed by Tel Aviv’s tactical measures or criminal acts such as the massacre of civilians in the besieged enclave.

The top general emphasized that all nations across the world are now aware of Tel Aviv’s criminal nature and its atrocities as repeatedly called out by Iranian officials over the past decades.

“The child-killing nature and the depth of the Israeli regime’s crimes are now clear,” the IRGC commander continued, assuring the Zionist regime won’t survive for a long time.

In early October, Hamas launched a multi-pronged surprise military operation via land, sea and air against Israel. The group announced it was in response to the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied East Jerusalem and Israeli settlers’ growing violence against Palestinians. The attacks have so far killed more than 1,200 and injured over 5,500, according to Israeli officials. Hamas also announced it is holding between at least 200 and 250 hostages.

Following the multi-front attack by Hamas, Israel carried out heavy bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing more than 11,000 Palestinians, including at least 4,500 children and over 3,000 women, and wounding over 30,000 others, and levelling entire neighbourhoods. The bombing, as well as enforced displacement orders by the Israeli Army, has also pushed 1.5 million people out of their homes.

Tel Aviv has also imposed a "complete siege" on Gaza, cutting off food, electricity, fuel and water supplies. The move has plunged the blockaded territory into a humanitarian crisis.

The Gaza Health Ministry has confirmed that the healthcare system in the besieged territory has “totally collapsed due to the Israeli war”. At least 22 hospitals and 49 medical centers are out of service due to Israeli raids, according to the enclave's health ministry. The UN agencies have warned that the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip is "catastrophic", calling for more international help as conditions deteriorate in the densely populated besieged enclave.

Gaza is one of the most densely populated places on Earth, where some 2 million people live in an area of 140 square miles. It has been almost completely cut off from the rest of the world for nearly 17 years. More than half of its population lives in poverty and is food insecure, with nearly 80% of its population relying on humanitarian assistance.

Tehran says the history of Israel is full of assassinations, massacre, torture and killing of Palestinian kids, and described Tel Aviv regime's atrocities and massacre of Palestinian women and children as indicative of the destitute of Zionists. Iranian officials say Tel Aviv has been struggling for more than 70 years to exit its identity crisis which has been mixed with genocide, plunder, forced displacement and scores of other inhumane moves - FARSNEWS.
