SAEDNEWS: Brig. Gen. Qa’ani wrote to Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh over the martyrdom of Al-Arouri in an Israeli airstrike on a residential area in the Southern suburb of Beirut, stressing the regime assassinated him and other “resistance leaders” to take some of the load of a “heavy defeat” in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
Al-Arouri, 57, was killed along with six others in an Israeli drone attack on the outskirts of Lebanon’s capital on Tuesday night.
The high-ranking figure was considered one of the founding members of the group’s military wing, the Izz ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades. He was the first senior Hamas political leader to be assassinated since Israel began its military operation in Gaza which has so far killed nearly 23,000, mainly children and women.
Lebanon's Hezbollah Resistance Movement Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stressed that the killing of Al-Arouri in Beirut was “a major, dangerous crime about which we cannot be silent”. He stated that the powerful group is not afraid of war with the Zionist regime, vowing that his murder will not remain unpunished.
“The world will witness how the brothers of martyr Al-Arouri will become a nightmare for the child-killing Zionist regime,” Qa’ani wrote in reference to Israel (SOURCE: FARSNEWS).
