IRI FM Mohammad Javad Zarif: Armenian Occupiers of Karabagh Must Leave the Occupied Lands
Iran's Zarif detailed the initiative prepared in the Foreign Ministry and briefed by Aragchi Iran's special envoy on Karabagh. The major part of this plan is putting an end to the occupation of Karabagh by the Armenian occupiers.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Nov. 1: Explaining Iran's plan for peace in Nagorno-Karabakh, Mohammad Javad Zarif said: "Since the beginning of the Nagorno-Karabakh crisis, we have consulted with countries in the region, including the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, and Turkey."

In an interview with IRIB news agency, Zarif added: "We believe that the countries in the region will see the most damage in the war, and these countries can have the greatest impact on ending the war in the region. In this context, we tried to achieve these goals and consultations without competing with other mechanisms such as Minsk."

"One of the important points of our plan is that it is not only related to the temporary ceasefire but also the move towards resolving the conflicts are based on a framework that begins with announcing the commitment of both parties to a set of principles. The withdrawal of the occupying forces from all the occupied areas continues," the Foreign Affairs Minister emphasized.

He mentioned guaranteeing the rights of the people, establishing communication channels, monitoring the countries in the region on the implementation of the plan, and similar issues as other components of Iran's peace-making initiative said: "We are waiting to get our friends' points of view in Russian and Turkey about the plan."

About the presence of terrorist forces in the Karabakh region, the minister said: "During the talks and before the talks, we informed the officials of Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as Russia and Turkey that Iran would not tolerate such a thing."

"Right now, these are not on the borderline, but they are likely to be present at a distance from the border, and we have expressed our concern to the parties," he said (Source: IranPress).
