IRI Foreign Ministry Spox Khatibzadeh: Islamic Republic of Iran Wants a Settlement not a Ceasefire in Karabagh
Iran seems to have decided to have a more active role in settling the problem of Karabagh by following the trace of the facts on the ground. After Aragchi's clear message to Yerevan of Iran's insistence on the end of occupation, now Khatibzadeh Spokesman of Iranian foreign ministry endorses the Iranian position.

Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Nov. 2: Attending his weekly conference on Monday, Khatibzadeh elaborated on the outcomes of Abbas Araghchi’s trip to Baku, Moscow, Yerevan, and Turkey to solve the Nagorno-Karabakh issue and Iran’s plan in this regard.

In response to a question of Iran Press on the Karabakh dispute, Khatibzadeh stated that Iran has proposed a plan based on creativity in the region, adding that the plan is based on the international system, accepting international borders, monitoring and eliminating occupation, and recognizing minority’s rights.

"Negotiations have been done at the highest level, and if proper responses are received, it is proved that we are moving on the right path," the spokesman highlighted.

"Positive feedbacks have been seen in Baku, Moscow, Yerevan, and Turkey," Khatibzadeh concluded (Source: IranPress).
