Tehran, SAEDNEWS, Dec. 17: Sepehran Motor Technologists Company, a knowledge-based firm, has been able to produce a permanent magnet synchronous motor with centralized winding in various power voltages.
These knowledge-based products range in power from 380 watts to 50 kilowatts and have a variety of applications, including air conditioners, industrial fans, home elevators, electric vans and electric motorcycles.
Also, Hakim Ofogh Pars Sabzineh knowledge-based company has taken a major step towards meeting one of the country's health needs by making the Dacron swab for sampling COVID-19 virus.
Meantime, Tanin Pardaz Pasargad knowledge-based company has produced systems to diagnose hearing impairment and electrical and acoustic stimulation systems. It has developed an electrical auditory stimulator that is used to relieve ear impairments and prepare patients for cochlear implants before surgery.
Another major national plan unveiled on Wednesday was non-contact infrared thermometer technology designed in a way that it shows the skin surface temperature with high accuracy, regardless of the room temperature.
Iranian Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari said on Saturday that thousands of knowledge-based companies in the country should be activated to produce goods sanctioned by Washington.
“A new ecosystem should be created in the country’s industries to be able to produce sanctioned products inside Iran and we should use potentials of the talented youth in this regard,” Sattari said in the Central province of Markazi.
He added that support for the knowledge-based companies is one of the important policies of the Iranian government in conditions of sanctions.
“At present 5,500 knowledge-based companies are active in the country which have created 300,000 direct jobs for specialists,” Sattari said.
In October, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani called on the country's knowledge-based companies to help the government in supplying raw materials for production of medicine.
The knowledge-based companies can try to produce the pharmaceutical raw materials, some of which need to be imported from other countries, President Rouhani said, addressing a ceremony to inaugurate national scientific and technology projects in Tehran, Alborz and Markazi provinces via video conference.
He said that if about $1.4 billion of raw materials are imported now, $400 million of that can be domestically produced.
Rouhani said it is very important to be able to produce medicines, and expressed the hope that Iran would be able to export the vaccine for cervical cancer (Source: Fars News Agency).
