Masjid-e Jami Abhar has been built in 708 upon the order of Mohammad Ibn Abu Bakr. This mosque has doors both in eastern and western parts of it. In past, water was conducted to it through an 18000 kilometers long subterranean conduit. This water exits via the pool in the middle of mosque that is located two or three meters down in the form of a fountain.
