The Masoudieh Palace, situated in downtown Tehran, attracts many visitors because of its splendid architecture and magnificent ambiance. It was constructed in 1879 for the prince Mass’oud Mirza as his residency in Tehran. Covering an area of 50,000 square meters, the mansion was established inside a garden. Masoudieh Mansion in Tehran has witnessed many events that changed the history of the country and was one of the main meeting centers during the Iranian Constitutional Revolution. The mansion consists of some other mansions with delicate plaster works, tile works, calligraphy, and murals on the walls. The mansion was allocated to an Officers' Academy during the years of 1962 to 1963, and two years later, the first Education Ministry was established there. Besides, the first Iranian National Library and Museum is in another corner of Masoudieh Palace. These days, Masoudieh Mansion in Tehran has a significant historical, educational and cultural role since it includes educational classes, amphitheater, museum, and galleries.
