Official: Plane Seized in Argentina Not Owned by Iran's Mahan Air
Iran's Mahan Air on Sunday rejected reports that the plane seized in Argentina belongs to the civil airline, and said that the aircraft is owned by Venezuela.

Terhran, SAEDNEWS: "The plane seized in Argentina is owned by Venezuela and has nothing to do with Mahan Airlines," Mahan Airlines' public relations manager Zol Anvari said. He added that it has been a year since the sale of this aircraft to a Venezuelan company, stressing that the seizure of this aircraft under the name of Mahan Airlines has political purposes.

The crews also have nothing to do with Mahan Airlines, Zol Anvari added.

Earlier reports claimed on Sunday that the Argentinian government has seized a Venezuelan airplane belonging to Iran's Mahan Air.

The crews of the cargo plane are currently in Argentina and have not been able to return to Venezuela due to the confiscation of their passports, according to the reports.

Other reports said that the plane was carrying auto parts for an automobile company and no suspicious cargo was found in it (Source: FARSNEWS).
