Tehran, SAEDNEWS: President Raisi made the remarks when he attended the Majlis meeting held for discussing his proposed ministers on Saturday to defend his picks as ministers.
It is time to use the existing huge capacities to pave the way for a powerful Iran, he said, adding that the programs of the proposed ministers are based on five ideas: the Second Phase of the Revolution, elevation of Islamic-Iranian culture, the Resistance Economy, improvement of people’s livelihood, and improvement of foreign policy based on national interests and inspiring to the Islamic World.
The program also emphasizes justice and progress, he said, adding that deviating from democracy slows progress down and creates corruption.
President Raisi also said that the programs also bring about an approach change from exporting raw material to production of industrial products; from managing the country through oil sale to increasing productivity, creating wealth and sustainable incomes; and from traditional budgeting to budgeting based on smart and operational performance.
He said that he had not been under influence of any political movements when choosing the proposed ministers, though he had received suggestions.
Thanking the presiding board of Majlis and the parliamentarians for their efforts in the commissions to discuss the qualifications of the proposed ministers, he said that he is well-aware that the term is short and the people’s problems are many.
Regarding the coronavirus pandemic, he said that the first priority of the 13th government is controlling the disease, improving health, accelerating vaccination, and following the health protocols.
The second priority is economy, economic stability, improving people’s livelihood, and employment.
He said that the current condition is the result of basing economy on other countries’ will.
Raisi went on to say that his cabinet is a combination of experienced and young ministers.
