One 90 years old lithographic printing machine, photography cameras, an archive of the newspapers that are published in past hundred years, pictures of pen boxes, wands of some journalists, printing facilities and a manuscript of Quran that dates back to 200 years ago are among the key manifestations of a century of journalism in Kerman Province that continues its path even in the face many ups and downs. Seyed Alavi was a mystic who taught religious sciences and provided sermons to the people in Qajar era who respected him a lot. In the time of invasion of Agha Mohammad Khan Qajar to Kerman when the city was the scene of numerous brutalities, when Agha Mohammad Khan’s army reached this part of Kerman, Seyed Alavi took Quran to Agha Mohammad Khan and said: “Either forgive the people for this Quran or Kill them by your sword”. “Why didn’t you come to me to act as a mediator between me and the people when I was behind the walls of the city?”, Agha Mohammad Khan answered. He immediately kills Seyed Alavi but when he is informed that he has murdered a man of fame and honor, he ordered his men to hold an official funeral for Seyed Alavi and bury him in this school. Nazim Al Islam Kermani was born in 1863. He was one of the distinguished constitutionalist activists and managed Norooz and Kokab newspapers. In his “Alaem Al Zuhur”, he has written that you may buy me under the tomb of Seyed Alavi and as a sign of respect to him, do not leave any sign of my burial place.
