Viyar is one of the famous villages of Abhar that is home to many natural and historical attractions. The houses in this village have kept their own older context and most of them are made of traditional mortar and they are located on two sides of the river. The most spectacular natural attraction of this village is Dashkasen’s cave series that dates back to Sassanid and Ilkhanid eras. Dashkesen Cave or Dragon Temple includes three caves that had been used as temples in Sassanid era but there remains no sign of Sassanid temples and there are just signs of Ilkhanid monuments. Another recreational attraction of this village is Viyar Wall that is a suitable place for rock climbing.
