Yalda or Chelleh Night: Iranian Tradition of Celebration of Light

Iranians traditionally celebrate the last night of fall and welcome the winter's arrival that signals the defeat of darkness by light. This occasion is known as Shabe Yalda or Chelleh and family members gather together at this night in order to have a sense of union and spend further time to enjoy being together.
