At least 16 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes on central Gaza
SAEDNEWS: At least 16 Palestinians were killed overnight as Israeli airstrikes targeted a residence in Khan Yunis and a UN school in the central Gaza Strip.

SAEDNEWS: The official Palestinian news agency WAFA quoted local sources as saying that the Israeli military targeted a house in Khan Yunis, where a large number of displaced individuals were seeking refuge, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 civilians and injuries to 50 others.

The Israeli warplanes also struck a school, run by the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) in the Mughazi refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip leading to the death of at least 4 individuals, including a woman, the report said.

Since the war erupted in the besieged territory on October 7, UN schools and buildings continue to be targeted by Israel, while also being used as shelters for thousands of displaced Palestinians.

According to the report the Israeli military also used drones and fired intensively at homes and streets in the Mughazi camp.

At the same time, Israeli warplanes launched a fire attack near Sekka Street west of the camp which was accompanied by heavy artillery fire from the army, it said.

Eyewitnesses, WAFA said, reported a fire breaking out east of the neighboring Nuseirat camp due to the sustained Israeli airstrikes.

Israeli warplanes also carried out fierce airstrikes on the Tel al-Zaatar area and the city of Deir al-Balah, resulting in casualties, the report added.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza has killed in at least 22,700 Palestinians, with the majority being women and children. Additionally, 7,000 individuals are missing under the rubble, and are most likely dead (SOURCE: PRESSTV).
