SAEDNEWS: "Guterres warned that the situation in Gaza jeopardizes international peace and security, urging the international community to act under Article 99 of the UN Charter to end this crisis," Kanani pointed out, regarding UN Chief Antonio Guterres' rare letter on the heart-wrenching situation in Gaza.
“In response, Eli Cohen, the foreign minister of the Zionist regime, criticized Guterres' action, considering it as support for Hamas, and deeming Guterres' leadership as a danger to global peace," Kanaani added.
“The reality is that the Zionist regime has posed a continual threat to global peace and security since its illegitimate inception, which has become more evident for the people of the world after the Al-Aqsa Storm operation," he emphasized.
Stressing the Zionist regime's disregard for international mechanisms, Kanaani underscored the urgent need to address this global threat, stating, "The world has a responsibility to confront this danger, now more than ever."
In his letter to the Security Council, Guterres cautioned that the Gaza situation threatens global peace and security, urging swift action.
Eli Cohen objected to Guterres' call for a Gaza ceasefire, branding Guterres as "a danger to global peace" and attributing his appeal to "supporting Hamas."
