President: Iran Stands Among World’s Top 10 Countries in Space Technology
SAEDNEWS: Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Rayeesi praised Tehran's astonishing achievements in the space industry, and said that his country is among the world's top 10 states in this field.

SAEDNEWS: “The Islamic Republic was ranked 45, but today it is among the top 10 countries in the world in the field of space,” Rayeesi stated on Saturday, addressing a conference in celebration of the National Space Technology Day. The president added the successful launches of 11 satellites during his tenure have both defeated the sanctions and foiled the plots for the isolation of Iran.

His remarks came days after Tehran announced it has simultaneously launched three domestically-produced satellites, dubbed “Mahda”, “Keyhan-2” and “Hatef-1”, into space.

Iran has taken giant strides in the field of science of technology in recent years, despite US sanctions and threats, and is among the world's top 10 states capable of building and launching satellites. Iranian officials say Tehran should access all aspects of space technology in various cultural, scientific, economic and defense fields, and no resolution prevents the country from continuing its space program.

Rayeesi noted that Iran is utilizing space technologies in various sectors, including agriculture, management of water and natural resources, identifying mineral deposits and ensuring the security of borders (SOURCE: FARSNEWS).
